Stylists
Doug Hobbs – The Boss
Doug Hobbs is one of the leading lights on the hairdressing scene. His activities also include work for television, music videos, radio, editorial commissions and an extensive array of seminars worldwide.
Fliss – Artistic Director
Fliss started at Hobbs in 2001 and has progressed from an assistant through the ranks. As well as artistic director she is now the manager at Hobbs. She has been involved in fashion shows, seminars and photo shoots – including an entry in the Bristish Hairdressing Awards.
Ellie – Coordinator
In addition to generally sorting out everything to do with the running of the salon, Ellie is the main point of contact with you the customer. She is PA to Doug and reception manager and works closley alongside Fliss. Always happy and only too pleased to help, she is a joy to have as part of the team.
Mel – Artistic Director
Mel has been at the salon since 2002 and after a brief absence to have her first child Mason, she’s back. Mel is currenlty out of the salon to have her second child but will be returning in the future to resume her carreer at Hobbs.
Corrina – Senior Stylist
Corrina has been at the salon since 2001 and is an integral part of Hobbs. She is an artistic and talented member of the team and has a relaxed way with the clients. Corrina is now back after the birth of her second child and will be available on Wednesdays and Fridays. Welcome back Corrina!
Neil – Senior Stylist
Having joined the team in 2004 he has become a very loyal and talented member of the team. Neil has an image all of his own and graduated through the ranks – another growing talent of hobbs.
Faye – Artistic Director
Faye worked at salons in Bristol for three and a half years. Having worked her way up through the ranks she gained a reputation as a top stylist. Joining Hobbs in January 2005 Faye quickly settled in to the team specialising in upstyles. Faye also assists on some of the numerous Hobbs photo shoots with colouring and upstyles.
Remmel – Stylist
As the latest member of the all star Hobbs team Remmel is a great fit. She creates beautiful styles across the whole spectrum of hair types. Remmel specialises in Afro Caribbean hair.
Chris – Graduate Stylist
Since leaving school Chris has been training at Hobbs, and he is now an extremely competent graduate stylist. Chris recently created some fantastic hair styles for The Hobbs Show.
Technicians
Sarah – Technical Director
Sarah is an experienced technician and a vital member of the team. Her up-to-the-minute knowledge of innovations in the hair industry is welcomed at photo shoots and seminars. She has attained an advanced Schwarzkopf colour diploma – finishing top of her class.
Kate – Senior Technician
Kate has become a very accomplished technician. She has completed the Schwarzkopf colour master class, which covered creative and avant garde colouring. Kate scored an amazing 100% – the first person ever! She has an ability to create individual styles but still understands the commercial colour techniques that are required by clients.
