Hobbs Young Star Tours UK With Schwarzkopf
Chris Read, one of Hobb’s finest talents has made it through to the final eight of the Schwarzkopf Young Artistic Team. The final team will be touring the UK as part of an intensive touring programme that will see Chris learning from some of the industries top professionals, taking part in Schwarzkopf road shows and photo shoots, before being invited to attend the 2011 British Hairdressing Awards in London on 21st November.
Chris who recently turned 19 started his career at Hobb’s salon five years ago. With Doug Hobbs’ guidance, Chris has fine tuned his passion and vision to create trend setting styles. This has seen him beat off competition from 250 of the UK’s hottest young hair professionals.
After flying through the first round, Chris along with 39 other stylists were invited to Schwarzkopf’s London Academy to present their model to judges from Cosmopolitan Magazine, Vidal Sassoon and Schwarzkopf.
Speaking of the achievement Doug Hobbs states;
“We are all very excited and extremely proud of Chris. He has been with us at Hobbs since he was 14 and was recently promoted to stylist following successful styling of models’ hair at our annual fashion showcase, The Hobbs Show ‘Born and Raised in Bristol’. To have achieved a winning place on the elite Schwarzkopf Young Artistic Team is a real testament to his unique style, and confidence to be setting the trends, not following them.”
